Paul Jennings

Paul Jennings has spent the past 25 years building a successful career as a musician, author, YouTuber, podcaster, photographer, and entrepreneur. Paul has performed in over 25 countries with some of the world’s top bands and artists, including runs on Broadway, major festival and touring appearances, and performing on primetime TV shows.

In 2007 Paul began uploading percussion video tutorials onto YouTube. He quickly grew his channel to millions of views and tens of thousands of subscribers. Paul launched his own lesson website PlayCajon which became the No. 1 website in the world to learn the cajon drum.

Paul went on to author the best-selling Hal Leonard Cajon Method and Djembe Method books as well as creating educational content for TED ED and being featured in the New York Times, Boston Globe, and a number of other global publications.

After moving to Los Angeles in 2018, Paul met Don Lombardi, founder of DW Drums and Drum Channel. Paul began working with Don to present and produce the official Drum Channel Podcast where he interviewed some of the biggest names in the drumming world including Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elton John), Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), Mona Tavakoli (Jason Mraz), Peter Erskine (Weather Report), Munyungo Jackson (Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis), and many more. As well as this Paul has developed and produced his own brand of specialised drumming brushes and set up a musical instrument import and distribution company in the United States. 

Paul now lives back in Scotland where he now teaches drums and percussion at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
