PlayCajon EP 03: Pete Lockett

As one of the most sought after multi percussionists in the world, Pete Lockett has worked with some greats including Björk, Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Amy Winehouse, plus a huge list of others. Pete embodies the term multi percussionist playing drum set, tabla, congas, cajon, bongos, and just about any percussion instrument out there. Pete studied tabla first under Yousuf Ali Khan, nephew of Ali Akbar Khan. Since then he has become incredibly well respected as a tabla player and percussionist in India and around the globe. He has played on many movie sound tracks including five James Bond films. In the drum world he has worked with Dave Weckl, Thomas Lang, Jojo Mayer and is currently working on a new record with legendary percussionist Luis Conte.
